I've been volunteering as part of the Management Committee at apdo-uk (the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers) for a couple of years now but I've recently changed role and now I'm their official mentor. What that means is I help new businesses who are just starting out in our fantastic industry and help them work on their own businesses and have input from an expert that's been in business for a while. It's vital that professional organisers and declutterers understand fully the kind of impact we can have on a client. It's so rewarding and brilliant to see so many more people wanting to go out there and help people organise their homes. And it's an opportunity for me to grow and develop my own skills too.
